If you put premium gasoline in your car, your car will perform better and longer than if you use regular gasoline. The same goes for your teeth as you are already brushing, flossing, using mouthwash and a tongue scraper, right? Well, you should be, and we have compiled a list of things that you can easily pick up at the food store that is not only great for your body but do wonders for your smile.

Try These Foods To Improve Your Smile

  • Tea
    • Black & Green teas have compounds in them that are called polyphenols which are known to slow the growth of bacteria. The bacteria that cause cavities, and gum disease. Back and green teas will also help suppress any breath if you are suffering from halitosis.
  • Leafy Greens
    • Greens can be delicious. Let’s get that out of the way before you just look at the next item. Do a quick Pinterest search for kale, spinach or broccoli recipes as you can most likely add these greens to a wonderful chicken recipe (which is also on our list) and you will find some of these recipes beyond delicious, and you may want to add them your regular meal plan anyway. Kale, spinach, and broccoli are loaded up with Vitamins such as B12 that will help boost the glow on your teeth and help your tooth enamel be even stronger than it already is.
  • Vitamin C
    • Another instance where you can improve your overall health and oral health is with vitamin C. Vitamin C does wonders for your immune system helping your body by producing more collagen. Collagen is the main protein that is used by your body to fight infections including periodontal disease. Try adding foods like oranges, apples, red or green peppers, or orange juice to your diet. Also, if you are not a fan of these foods, it will not hurt to take a vitamin C supplement in the morning before you start your day.
